Fall Ball 2025 -- Grades 10-12

Fall Ball is a great opportunity to build on the skills learned over the summer and continue to improve through game play.  Clinics and games for all age groups are held on Sundays. The overall goal for Fall Ball is to work on improving technique through repetition. All age groups will spend time learning dynamic warmup routines and age-appropriate arm care techniques. Players will receive a sweet looking jersey they get to keep. The dates for all ages in Fall Ball are Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29 and October 6.

Grades 10-12, Sundays, time is TBD
This group will play 7-inning double headers each Sunday against teams in the Madison wood bat league—12 games total in the season. Teams will be determined by how many players sign up; if there is a need to develop multiple teams, we will look at position coverage, so we do not end up with all the pitchers/any position on one team. Coaches will work with each player at the beginning of the season to determine what skill they want to focus on to improve over the course of the season. Games will either be in a morning block or an afternoon block. Fort Atkinson is a host site which means many if not all games will be played at Jones Park. Other game locations are around the Madison area. This is a wood bat league, which promotes better batting technique. We encourage families to get bats for their players, which they can use for training throughout the year. Prices for a wood bat range from $40-$300 (we suggest the less expensive models—wood bats break). Each team will have 3-4 wood bats for players to share. Some coaches may offer a practice on a day other than Sunday, that is their decision—it will not be mandatory. The cost for this program is $140.

Fall Ball 2025

Fall Ball is a great opportunity to build on the skills learned over the summer and continue to improve through game play.  Clinics and games for all age groups are held on Sundays. The overall goal for Fall Ball is to work on improving technique through repetition. All age groups will spend time learning dynamic warmup routines and age-appropriate arm care techniques. Players will receive a sweet looking jersey they get to keep.

The dates for all ages in Fall Ball are:
Kindergarten - 7th Grade: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5
8th Grade - 12th Grade: Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 12

Grades K-2, Sundays 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
This group will begin each Sunday with a 45-60–minute clinic that focuses on a specific topic each week (hitting, throwing mechanics, base running, infield, outfield & catching). These skills are taught through baseball “game” activities to reinforce technique through play. The last day will feature a “baseball skills Olympics.” After the clinic, the players will be divided into teams and play a game using a machine that pitches strikes at an appropriate speed for kids of this age. The teams will change by week and be played “sandlot” style (kids rotate positions to try new skills)—the goal is to have kids play every position over the course of the season. The cost for this program is $65.

Grades 3-4, Sundays, 3:00 PM to 5:15 PM
This group will begin each Sunday with a 45–60-minute clinic that focuses on a specific topic each week (hitting, throwing mechanics & pitching, base running, infield, outfield & catching). These skills are taught through baseball “game” activities to reinforce technique through play. Primary focus for this age group is pitching and catching. After the clinic, the players will be divided into teams and play a live pitch game.  The teams will change by week and be played “sandlot” style (kids rotate positions to try new skills--the goal is to have kids play every position over the course of the season.  The cost for this program is $65.

Grades 5-7, Sundays, time is TBD
This group will play 5-inning double headers each Sunday against teams in the Madison league—10 games total in the season. Teams will be determined by who signs up and how the league divides the age groups. The goal is to keep players in the same grade together. Coaches will work with each player at the beginning of the season to determine what skill they want to focus on to improve over the course of the season. Games will either be in a morning block or an afternoon block. Fort Atkinson is a host site, which means most if not all games will be played at Memorial Park. This is an open bat league -- we encourage the use of wood bats, which promotes better batting technique.  Each team will have 3-4 wood bats for players to share. Players who want to develop better batting technique may want to consider purchasing a wood bat to use for training year-round. Prices for a wood bat range from $40-$300 (we suggest the less expensive models—wood bats break). Some coaches may offer a practice on a day other than Sunday, that is their decision—it will not be mandatory. The cost for this program is $125.

Grades 5-7, Clinics only, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
This program is for families who want their player to work on skills and cannot commit to a game schedule. The clinic is designed to work on 2-3 facets of the game each week (hitting, throwing mechanics, pitching, catching, infield, outfield & base running) and will also spend some time learning about baseball strategy. The primary goal of this clinic is to get players reps -- there may be scrimmages depending on how many players sign up, more likely the clinic will be individual and small groups drills. The cost for this program is $65.

Grades 8-9, Sundays, time is TBD
This group will play 7-inning double headers each Sunday against teams in the Madison wood bat league—10 games total in the season. Teams will be determined by how many kids sign up; if there is a need to develop multiple teams, we will look at position coverage, so we do not end up with all the pitchers/any position on one team. Coaches will work with each player at the beginning of the season to determine what skill they want to focus on to improve over the course of the season. Games will either be in a morning block or an afternoon block. Fort Atkinson is a host site which means many if not all games will be played at the Fort High School and locations are around the Madison area.
